SAN DIEGO - Today, San Diego-based political podcast Flip the Script: The Future is Female made an announcement regarding the show's upcoming awards celebration "Women Who Change the Game," to take place on November 2nd, 2017 at Jacobs Center for Neighborhood Innovation in Southeast San Diego.

The podcast is hosted by Ismahan Abdullahi, Director of Community Partnerships and Civic Engagement at Partnership for the Advancement of New Americans (PANA), and Nicole Capretz, Executive Director of Climate Action Campaign, both nonprofits based in San Diego County.

"Flip the Script: The Future is Female could not be more excited to welcome Linda Sarsour, a global game-changer, to keynote our first annual awards celebration 'Women Who Change the Game,'" said co-host Nicole Capretz in an email. "She is a proud Palestinian Muslim American, working woman, community activist, and mother of three. Ambitious, outspoken and independent, she is a self-proclaimed 'pure New Yorker, born and raised in Brooklyn!'"

"Sarsour is the epitome of the spirited, game-changing, script-flipping, audacious civil rights leader who is confronting hate and systems of oppression, while challenging us to work in coalition and see the progressive movement as one unified quest for freedom and justice," Capretz continued. "We cannot wait to hear her clarion call in person."

The event will take place on Tuesday, November 2nd, 2017 from 11:30am - 1:30pm. At this time, tickets may be purchased as tables available at various sponsorship levels. Learn more at https://www.flipthescriptsd.org/gamechangers/sponsor.
